This policy explains what [Your company name] collects when you use Inkvale, why, and your choices.

What we collect

• Account details: email, username, display name, password (stored only as an Argon2 hash), and optional profile fields.
• Reading data: library shelves, followed series, reading history and progress, bookmarks, reader settings.
• Community content: comments, reviews, likes, reports.
• Billing: plan, subscription status, payment amounts and dates, invoices. Card and UPI details are handled by our payment provider (Stripe or Razorpay); we never see or store them.
• Security data: IP address and device type for sign-ins and active sessions, sign-in attempts, audit logs of staff actions.

Why we use it

To run your account and subscription, sync your reading across devices, send the notifications you choose, prevent fraud and abuse, keep the service secure, and understand which series readers enjoy (aggregated statistics).

Where it's stored

All data is stored on servers we operate. Database backups are encrypted. We do not sell personal data or use third-party advertising trackers.

Who we share it with

Payment providers (to process payments), our email delivery service (to send emails), and authorities when legally required.

How long we keep it

Account data is kept while your account exists. Sign-in attempt logs are kept for 30 days and read notifications for 180 days. Payment and invoice records are kept as long as tax law requires, even after account deletion, without your name.

Your rights

You can download a copy of your data or delete your account at any time from your profile. You can change notification and privacy settings in your account. For other requests, contact [email protected].
